The Earth System Governance Project convened a session at the IARU International Scientific Congress “Climate Change: Global Risks, Challenges and Decisions”, 10-12 March 2009, Copenhagen. Amongst others, Frank Biermann, chair of the Earth System Governance Project, held a presentation on “Earth System Governance. Outline of a Research Programme”, and Heike Schroeder, member of the Scientific Steering Committee, presented “The Importance of Being Partners: Exploring Horizontal and Vertical Interplay in Urban Climate Governance”.
