Dr. Patrick Schroeder

Patrick Schroeder is based in Beijing as international advisor to the China Association for NGO Cooperation (CANGO), a position supported by the German Centre for International Migration and Development (CIM). He also works as consultant for the Collaborating Centre on Sustainable Consumption and Production (CSCP). Patrick Schroeder holds a PhD in Environmental Studies from the Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, which investigated governance structures and international partnerships of China's renewable energy development. His current research deals with global and national architectures for climate change mitigation, energy efficiency in China's residential building sector, the role of civil society and public participation in China's sustainable development and public access to environmental information.
