Sarah Freed is a PhD student in Environmental Science and Management at Portland State University. Her research interests include commons governance, community-based management, and social and ecological adaptations for resilience. For her dissertation research, she utilizes social and natural science methods to investigate governance outcomes in the marine environment of the Comoros.
