Shona Russell is a Post-doctoral Researcher with Landcare Research Manaaki Whenua, New Zealand. She received her PhD in Accounting from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland in 2007. Her doctoral research examined the relationships between governance regimes and accountability relationships relating to freshwater in Scotland.
Currently, her research interests span environmental governance and accountability, especially that related to water and climate change in New Zealand. She is exploring how financial institutions engage in the governance of environmental risks across local, national and global scales.
