Vasna Ramasar

Vasna Ramasar is Research Associate at the Earth System Governance International Project Office. She is also a PhD candidate in sustainability science at the Lund University Centre for Sustainability Studies in Sweden. Prior to beginning her PhD, Vasna worked for almost a decade in environmental and developmental research and practice mostly in Africa but with experience in South Asia, North America and Europe. She holds a BSc in geology and environmental science with a minor in human geography from the University of Natal, an MSc in environmental management from the University of KwaZulu-Natal and an MSc in development studies from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences. Vasna's research addresses the analytical problems of Allocation and Access and more specifically examining the cross-cutting themes of scale and power in relation to water allocation and access in developing countries.
