About

Dr Aysha Fleming is a social scientist in the Adaptive Social and Economic Systems program in CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation). Based in Hobart, Tasmania, Aysha’s research centres around the application of educational theories to climate change in agriculture, fisheries and health, particularly theories of extension, decision making, and science and environmental communication. She is particularly interested in sustainability and how it might be better achieved. Her methods for this usually involve engaging communities with learning and change and qualitative research methodologies, including thematic coding and discourse analysis of interviews.
