I am a young researcher in the field of environmental governance and my passion is to tackle global challenges and to find solutions for wicked problems. I work as advisor and technical coordinator for the Living Planet Report at WWF Netherlands and I do my PhD as an external candidate at Utrecht University. The Living Planet Report is the world’s leading, science-based analysis on the health of our planet and the impact of human activity. This biannual scientific publication aims to translate science and trigger discussions around global environmental issues.
My PhD research is on the One Planet Thinking initiative of WWF, which encourages companies and financial institutions to break the link between economic development and environmental degradation. One Planet Thinking enables economic actors to align business practices in order to operate within the planetary boundaries framework. In my research I look into the process development of such norm-setting initiative.
