Paul Wapner is Professor of Global Environmental Politics in the School of International Service at American University, Washington DC, USA. His research interests include: Environmental Ethics, Transnational Activism, and the Politics of Planetary Sustainability.

Wapner has published a number of books including, Living through the End of Nature: The Future of American Environmentalism; Re-imagining Climate Change; Global Environmental Politics: From Person to Planet; Principled World Politics: The Promise of Normative International Relations; and Environmental Activism and World Civic Politics. His latest book, Is Wildness Over? will be published in 2020. His most recent work focuses on how the most vulnerable are experiencing climate change.
