Peter J. Jacques is Professor of Political Science and the National Center for Integrated Coastal Research at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, USA. He has written five books on international environmental politics – two on oceans, one on the world Indigenous movement, a primer on sustainability, and one on environmental skepticism (the counter-movement to cast doubt on ecological and climate science). He will be President of the Association of Environmental Studies and Sciences from 2018-2020. He continues to study climate denial and the origins of coastal and marine degradation.
