The conference is hosted by CETIP, SlovakGlobe, Slovak Academy of Sciences, and Slovak University of Technology together with the Earth System Governance Project. CETIP was established in 2008 as a Research Center of Trans-disciplinary Studies of Institutions, Evolution, and Policies associated with Slovak Academy of Sciences and become a partner to the Center for the Study of Institutional Diversity (CSID) at Arizona State University. Since 2019 it collaborates with the newly established joint center of SlovakGlobe concentrating on the management of global change. CETIP is a collaborative research network dedicated to introducing novel ideas into interdisciplinary environmental research, education, and policymaking. CETIP’s main mission is interdisciplinary research across natural and social sciences in particular incorporation of institutional, behavioral and ecological economics into environmental governance and policymaking. CETIP operates in several CEE countries and consists of approximately 30 researchers and PhD students. Since 2018, CETIP serves as the Earth System Governance Research Center Central and Eastern Europe. More information on CETIP can be found at
