We are delighted to announce that Tzeporah Berman will give the keynote address at the Opening Plenary at the 2022 Toronto Conference on Earth System Governance.
Oil Politics in a World on Fire
After a summer of record heatwaves, floods and fires sweeping the planet and displacing millions of people, the world’s governments in New York in September did…very little to slow down the devastating impacts of climate change. Reflecting on her experiences meeting the CEOs of oil companies, advising governments, blockading fossil fuel projects and now building a campaign for a new global fossil fuel non-proliferation treaty, Tzeporah Berman joins the Earth System Governance Project to discuss what’s holding us back from climate progress, whether Net Zero commitments are hurting or helping and whether there is reason for hope in a world on fire.
