Join us in the historic city of Bath, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in England, United Kingdom, for the 2026 Bath Conference on Earth System Governance (ESG). Hosted by the University of Bath, the ESG Research Centre Bath, and the Earth System Governance Project, the conference will take place on 7–11 September 2026 at various venues in Bath’s city centre and on the University of Bath campus.

With the theme “Building Just and Sustainable Futures for Planetary Integrity”, the conference brings together leading researchers, policymakers, and practitioners from around the world to explore how to better govern our planet’s complex systems, from local to global levels, for a sustainable future.

The conference is expected to attract 500–600 participants from across academia, policymaking, industry, and civil society worldwide, making it the largest gathering of the ESG community in 2026.

Don’t miss your chance to be part of this event and gain visibility among a highly engaged international community.

If you would like to take up any of the opportunities outlined in our partnership prospectus, or if you would like more information, please email us at ESG@bath.ac.uk.
