The Chair Chat is our way of posting a post-conference reflection and gaining insight of how advocates and topically interested participants of Earth System Governance echo their understanding of the conference topics and hopes for future research and involvement. Moving forward with Earth System Governance is a key global concern for many conference participants and these reflections allow insight into what each interviewee believes will foster this movement.

The questions posed were:

- Why did you come to the Amsterdam Conference? What were your expectations?
- What do you think about the topics that are being addressed at this conference? Which of the A's (Architecture, Agents, Adaptiveness, Accountability, Access and Allocation) will be most important to move forward with Earth System Governance?
- What is the most surprising/ interesting finding you uncovered at this conference and will take home with you?
