Early Career Committee

For early-career researchers in the field of Earth System Governance, there is a myriad of opportunities for research development, professional growth, and networking. At the same time, identifying where to begin while navigating academic conferences, publishing, teaching, supervision, peer review, thesis writing and defence, grant acquisition, and work–life balance can be challenging.

The Early Career Committee provides a supportive platform to address these challenges. It facilitates peer exchange, collaboration, networking, and the sharing of resources and experiences, including guidance from mid-career and senior scholars, as well as fellow early-career researchers.

Key annual activities include the Mentoring Initiative and the Early Career Day at the Earth System Governance annual conference. Also, our monthly newsletter always features various opportunities relevant for researchers at different stages of their careers.

To get in touch with the committee, please contact the International Office.
