Call for Participants:

The Accountability in Global Environmental Governance Workshop seeks to establish dialogue between scholars interested in accountability across the spread of environmental regimes (air, water, biodiversity, forests, climate change) including the organisations that host them (public, for-profit and community-based). The purpose of the workshop is to establish shared understandings of what constitutes accountability in global environmental governance. To this end, the workshop welcomes input from scholars and practitioners in the field of global environmental politics interested in sharing theoretical and empirical insights.

We hope to gather insights in accountability issues that can be mutually beneficial for advancing the Accountability in Global Environmental Governance network (AGEG) research program. For this reason, scholars are not expected to prepare a paper but will be provided with guidance notes for the day’s discussion. The outcome will be a plan of action for the AGEG research agenda including future workshops, panels and publications.

Places to attend the workshop are limited. The workshop will run from 1pm to 4pm the day before the International Studies Association annual conference in Toronto. Light snacks and refreshments will be served.

If you are interested in attending, please contact Dr Susan Park, University of Sydney (susanpark [at] sydney.edu.au) or Dr Teresa Kramarz, University of Toronto (teresa.kramarz [at] utoronto.ca) telling us your area of interest and potential contribution to the project.
