Climate Engineering Conference 2014

Germany
Potsdam
Event start: 20140817
End date: 20140820

Event description

Climate engineering is rapidly becoming a contentious issue within political, scientific, and cultural discussions of climate change, in part due to a perceived lack of progress on crucial emission reductions. By endorsing the large climate engineering conference organized by The Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies (IASS) in August 2014, the Earth System Governance Project strives to engage in critical global discussions by bringing together the research, policy, and civic communities to discuss the highly complex and interlinked ethical, social and technical issues that come into focus when discussing climate engineering.

For more information see the conference website.
