2015 Canberra Conference on Earth System Governance Updates

We are pleased to make the following announcements about the 2015 Canberra Conference on Earth System Governance

Draft program now available!

The draft program for the conference is now available on the conference website. We are very excited about the line-up of keynote speakers, panels and special sessions. However, we are aware that many of you are still finalising your funding arrangements and may not be able to attend. As such, please note that the program is subject to change and should not be relied upon when making travel arrangements. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that your panel/session will not change.

Please check the program and let us know of any errors (e.g. misspelled names, incorrect affiliations) or conflicts (e.g. you are speaking on a panel at the same time as an innovative session is being held that you are meant to participate in). We will make every effort to resolve such issues. We cannot respond to other requests (e.g. to present at a specific time/date).

If you are not able to attend the conference or would like to withdraw one of your papers, please contact us ASAP at esg2015@anu.edu.au

Early-Bird Registration closes 16 October and to ensure inclusion in the program you must register before 16 November:

Click here to register before 16 October for the best deal! Registration will remain open after this date (through the conference) but paper presenters must register before 16 November to keep their spot in the program.

Accommodation

We have negotiated conference rates with a number of hotels which can be booked directly through the registration site. Alternatively, if you would like to book budget accommodation, please visit the links below:

Financial Support

We have allocated all of our financial support for developing country participants.

Volunteer Opportunities

If you are a student at the ANU or University of Canberra and would like to volunteer at the conference (50% of the time) in return for waived registration fees, please contact esg@con-sol.com. Limited volunteer places are available, preference may be granted to students with an ANU driver’s license.

Visas

Australia requires visas for visitors from many destinations. These are not available upon arrival. For more information on visas, please refer to this website.

Please note that we will only provide invitation letters for visa applications after you have registered for the conference. When you contact us, please provide your date of birth and passport number (these need to be included in the invitation letter).

Papers

Papers can be sent to esg2015@anu.edu.au for posting on the conference website. There will not be any official conference proceedings.

Please check the conference website, @ESG_Project on twitter, or our facebook page regularly for updates.

We look forward to welcoming you to Canberra in December!

John, Kyla and Lorrae
