Ajibola Anthony AKANJI Esq. PhD is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, a multidisciplinary scholar with undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Law and the social sciences. His research his primarily focused on the intersection of law, the social solidarity economy and sustainable development. He is a lecturer at the Faculty of Law, and adjunct at the Faculty of Management and Social Sciences, Lead City University, Ibadan, Nigeria. He is an attorney at Olujinmi & Akeredolu Legal Practitioners and Notaries. He represents Africa on the Cooperative Law Committee of the International Cooperative Alliance, global. He is a member of the assembly of Future Earth, and the Young Scholars Initiative where he currently serves as a coordinator of the Cooperative Working group. He has served as a facilitator to the Centre for Sustainable Development at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. He has at different times served as a consultant and national expert for Nigeria to the International Cooperative Alliance, International Labour Organization and the World Bank. He recently served as a co-author of a global report “International Legal Research and Analysis Initiative on Housing Cooperatives”, and equally served as a national expert for Nigeria on the same project.
