Aleksandar Šobot has researched governance and policy transformation for seven years, addressing a multilevel environmental change. His doctoral research was related to sustainable development goals; their implementation in SEE countries; the roles of governmental, non-governmental, and international actors in the implementation of international sustainable development goals, and multilevel environmental change (policy, polity, and politics). His research is closely related to Environmental Governance and management transformations. The analytical problems he explored within this are national and local institutions and legislations and their adaptation to international environmental change according to the needs of sustainable development.
