About

I am an early career researcher with research interests in environmental policies and governance and sustainability transitions.
Before joining Monash University (Australia) as a PhD student researching sustainability transition policies, I worked for the International Labour Organization (ILO) and led green jobs and climate resilience projects, creating enabling environments for inclusive economic growth through SME development in Sri Lanka. I have had more than 15 years of experience managing projects and contributing to applied research on environment and natural resources management, climate change adaptation and resilience building, corporate sustainability, and watershed management.
I am an engineer by training with a BSc in Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka and also hold master’s qualifications from the National University of Singapore, (Singapore), University of Peradeniya (Sri Lanka) and Quantic School of Business and Technology, United States in the areas of environmental management, integrated water resources management, and business administration.
