I believe that embracing complexity is essential for advancing socio-environmental justice.
Trained in Psychology and Environmental Psychology at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and in Rural Development Sciences at Ghent University, I am currently pursuing a PhD in Conservation Science and Natural Resources Management at CIIDIR-Oaxaca (IPN).
My research explores how social-ecological systems evolve through governance practices, everyday interactions, and collective meaning-making, with particular interest in commons governance, participatory methodologies, and the pursuit of transdisciplinary approaches to socio-environmental challenges.
I am particularly drawn to the intersections where struggles for justice, dignity, and environmental stewardship meet, both locally and globally, and it is from this place of encounter that I seek to contribute to knowledge that not only embraces complexity but also opens paths toward more conscious and equitable ways of inhabiting the world.
