Dr. Al Madhoun is the founder of the global nonprofit network and think tank, Global Ambassadors of Sustainability, which boasts over 13K members across 130 countries. He holds a fellowship in Sustainable Cities from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), a postdoctoral fellowship at the Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT), and a PhD in Environmental Engineering from Universiti Sains Malaysia.

With 20 years of experience in teaching, training, research, and consultancy, Dr. Al Madhoun has worked in Brunei, Canada, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Palestine, South Korea, and the USA. He has also served as a Research Professor at the University of Seoul, a visiting scholar at the University of Windsor, and a guest speaker at institutions such as Harvard University, MIT, and IIT.

Dr. Al Madhoun has led numerous international training programs on sustainable development, climate change, air pollution, and environmental assessment. He has also been appointed as a consultant for various projects funded by international agencies. In terms of publications, he has authored more than 60 papers in peer-reviewed international journals and conferences.
