Florian is PhD in Political Science and Associate Research Fellow at the Paris Interdisciplinary Energy Research Institute (University of Paris). His PhD thesis is entitled “Norway-Russia relations in the Arctic: Perspective and analysis of a regional dynamic in the Anthropocene era”.

Florian is External contractor and Adviser on Northern Europe and Russia. Previously his Masters studies had a focus on Norwegian diplomacy in the Middle East and Integration process of Baltic States in European Security Architecture, and he was awarded an M.A. in Contemporary History by the University of Toulouse, France and an M.A. in International Affairs by Sciences Po Bordeaux, France.

His research interests include Political Ecology; Mining Strategy and Energy Transition; Human civilization/Earth interactions as a conceptual tool.
