Harro van Asselt (PhD, cum laude, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam) is Professor of Climate Law and Policy at the University of Eastern Finland Law School, and Associate with the Stockholm Environment Institute. He is author of The Fragmentation of Global Climate Governance (Edward Elgar, 2014) and co-editor of Climate Change Policy in the European Union (Cambridge University Press, 2010), Governing Climate Change (Cambridge University Press, 2018) and The Politics of Fossil Fuel Subsidies and Their Reform (Cambridge University Press, 2018). He has published extensively on issues related to global climate governance in edited books and journals, including Nature, Nature Climate Change, American Journal of International Law and Global Environmental Politics. He is editor of the Review of European, Comparative and International Environmental Law (RECIEL), and serves as Associate Editor of the Carbon and Climate Law Review.
