Harry has a PhD in Environmental Policy and Governance from Wageningen University & Research in The Netherlands. He is an environmental entrepreneur with research interests in environmental politics in African ports. He studied transnational environmental governance for African ports with focus on multiple actor interactions and institutional arrangements across multiple levels of governance among multiple countries within a regional territorial confine. He is the founder and Executive Co-ordinator of Ports Environmental Network-Africa (PENAf), a not-for-profit organisation with interest in the environmental health of African ports. Harry’s work with PENAf is a pioneering one, with the establishment of the African Ports Environment Initiative (APEI) aimed at institutionalising a platform for environmental information and best practice exchange, and knowledge sharing among African ports to support their sustainable development. Harry’s motivation is to use his faith and new knowledge found to reshape the world around.
