Karin Thalberg works as a Research Assistant at the Earth System Governance Project International Project Office, based at Uppsala University. She has an academic background in interdisciplinary environmental social sciences and development studies, and has working experiences from policy analysis, advocacy, stakeholder engagement, research, and governance in Sweden, France, and India.
Before joining the project, she worked as a Research Fellow at the Jacques Delors Institute in Paris, focusing on European energy policy at the intersection of research and policymaking. Her main interests lie in questions of social justice, inclusion, and how citizens can be more actively involved in climate and energy governance — especially within the EU context.
At the Earth System Governance Project, Karin hopes to contribute by supporting meaningful collaboration between researchers and policy practitioners.
