About

I am an Associate Programme Officer in the Climate Finance Subdivision of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Secretariat, and hold a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in International Relations from the University of Oxford, United Kingdom, and an undergraduate degree in Political Science from University of Mannheim, Germany.

In my Secretariat functions since 2022, I support the intergovernmental climate change process in the area of climate finance, including at the annual Conferences of the Parties (COPs). A focus of my work lies in the study of global climate finance flows as well as the response of domestic and international financial system actors to Article 2, paragraph 1(c) of the Paris Agreement, which sets out the long-term goal of ‘making finance flows consistent with a pathway towards low GHG emissions and climate resilient development’.

A generalist by nature, I have since my graduation continued to pursue interdisciplinary research at the interface of political science and international relations, climate and economics. This included the publication with co-authors of a study on the Green Growth paradigm and its connection with clean technology leadership. Next to quantitative and qualitative research on finance and the economics of climate change, I maintain a keen interest in theories of global governance and International Relations in the age of the Anthropocene.
