About

I combine my backgrounds in Global Environmental Politics and Linguistics in research on the discursive construction and legitimization of governance in emerging technology fields, with a current focus on marine carbon dioxide removal technologies.

I am a Resesarch Associate at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) in Berlin, Germany and an affiliated member of Environmental Governance Section at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development, Utrecht University, the Netherlands. Additionally, I co-coordinate the Carbon Removal Working Group of the Earth System Governance Taskforce, and am a member of the UN GESAMP Working Group 41 on Ocean Interventions for Climate Mitigation.
