Dr. Mohd Faiz Ibrahim is a Public Health Medicine Specialist and Research Fellow in Earth System Governance. He completed his medical degree at Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University, a Master of Public Health at the University of Sydney, and a PhD at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He works at the Environmental Health Research Centre, Institute for Medical Research (IMR), Ministry of Health Malaysia. His work covers environmental epidemiology, air pollution, heat exposure, and health risks among vulnerable groups. He is involved in national and regional studies and serves as a member of the Technical Working Group for the National Environmental Health Action Plan (NEHAP) Malaysia. His research looks at how environmental change, urban exposure, and climate stress affect population health, and how evidence can guide fair and practical approaches in environmental health governance.
