I am a sustainability scientist specialised in exploring the use of futures thinking methods for social-ecological system transformations, and I have extensive experience in biodiversity and climate governance, agricultural policy analysis and science communication. I am currently working on understanding how bottom-up pathways developed from participatory futures thinking processes can contribute towards aspirational relationships between people and nature. I am passionate about rural agricultural livelihoods, Indigenous futures thinking approaches and science communication. I have a special interest in arts-based approaches to explore anticipatory systems and human imagination in social-ecological systems research. I am an Africa Foresight Network fellow and a former Intergovernmental Panel for Climate Change PhD Scholarship Fellow.
