Niamh Guiry is an Environmental Protection Agency-Irish Research Council Government of Ireland PhD Scholar at the School of Law, University College Cork, Ireland. Her research explores the interrelationship between the SDGs, global environmental governance, and evolving patterns of international law-making. The central aim of this project is to evaluate the effect of the SDGs on the implementation, interpretation, and elaboration of international law. Niamh holds a BSc in Microbiology and an LL.M. in Environmental and Natural Resources Law and has published articles on sustainable development, wildlife crime, and early Irish environmental law. Niamh is an environmental activist and has a keen interest in biodiversity protection, climate justice, and environmental education.
