Peter J. Jacques is Professor of the School of Politics, Security, and International Affairs and the National Center for Integrated Coastal Research at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, USA. He has written five books on international environmental politics – two on oceans, one on the world Indigenous movement, a primer on sustainability that is going into a second edition and is being translated into Spanish, and one on environmental skepticism (the counter-movement to cast doubt on ecological and climate science). He is President of the Association of Environmental Studies and Sciences from 2018-2020. He continues to study climate denial and the origins of coastal and marine degradation.
