Dr. Pranusha Kulkarni is an Assistant Professor of General Management and Public Policy at Goa Institute of Management (GIM), India. She is a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, where she studied the justice effects of renewable energy transition policies of India. She is the recipient of India’s centrally sponsored doctoral research fellowship – the University Grants Commission Junior Research Fellowship in Law (UGC-JRF in Law, 2017), and a gold medalist in LL.M. in Access to Justice at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.
During her PhD, she was awarded two fellowships – the Research and Writing Fellowship by the Just Transition Research Centre (JTRC) at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (2023-2024); and the India Tech Policy Fellowship (2024-2025) by Pacific Forum – a US-based foreign policy think tank.
She has previously taught undergraduate law students at Tamil Nadu National Law University, Trichy (TNNLU Trichy) and Master’s in Public policy (MPP) students at National Law School of India University, Bengaluru (NLSIU Bengaluru). She has been invited to give expert lectures at various national and international institutes like IIM Indore, IIT Dharwad, NLU Odisha, Nirma University School of Law, CarbonCare InnoLab (Hong Kong), Centre for Digital Law, Singapore Management University, to name a few.
Her research interests span across the interface of technology, politics, business, and sustainability; and her teaching interests include Legal aspects of Business, Public Policy, and Sustainability transitions.
