Roni Kay M. O’Dell specializes in research on international organizations (the UN), multilateralism, environmental governance, human development and human rights, and sustainable development.

Roni Kay’s current book project analyzes civil society inclusion in negotiations on worldwide development goals, specifically the Sustainable Development Goals negotiated between 2012-2015 and adopted by the UN General Assembly in 2015. Her published books include Global Politics: A Toolkit for Learners, co-authored with Sasha Breger Bush, a book written with a learner-centered pedagogical approach to teaching international relations, and Globalization and Human Development co-authored with Devin K. Joshi, which analyzes the history and globalization of the human development approach to international development practice.

Roni Kay holds a PhD in International Studies from the University of Denver, Josef Korbel School of International Studies. She is currently a Professor of Political Science at Seton Hill University, and Coordinator of the Political Science and Global Studies Programs.
