Rozemarijn Roland Holst is a PhD candidate in international law at Utrecht University. Her research is part of the ERC Sustainable Ocean Project which analyses regime interaction in ocean governance. Rozemarijn’s work focusses on the mechanisms through which the normative and institutional structure of the law of the sea can adapt and respond to contemporary challenges and changing interests.

Rozemarijn is an associate of the Netherlands Institute for the Law of the Sea (NILOS) and the Utrecht Centre for Water, Oceans and Sustainability Law (UCWOSL). She was also a visiting research fellow at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. Rozemarijn holds an LLM in Global Environment and Climate Change Law (with distinction) from the University of Edinburgh, and an LLB (cum laude) from the University of Amsterdam.
