About

I study the governance of sociotechnical transitions, with a focus on how societies manage and respond to climate and energy challenges. My work has examined public participation, community energy, community benefits, and industrial decarbonisation, including the deployment of carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) technologies.

I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at Radboud University Nijmegen, Netherlands, where I investigate the deployment of CCUS technologies for industrial decarbonisation in Europe as a part of the Horizon Europe CaLby2030 project. Previously, I completed my PhD in Environmental Planning at Queen’s University Belfast, Northern Ireland, as a part of the Horizon 2020 MISTRAL-ITN network, studying the governance of public participation in the energy transition.

My upcoming research will examine how societies can respond to sustainability challenges collectively, working across government sectors and levels of society through a Whole-of-Society Approach.

In addition, I serve as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Environmental Policy and Planning and actively engage with policy and practitioner communities on issues related to climate governance and industrial decarbonisation.
