Simon’s research combines insights from earth system governance, global studies, and philosophy. He holds a Master of Philosophy in Politics and International Studies from the University of Cambridge and a Master of Science in International Studies from the University of Montreal. His current research focuses on connecting biodiversity, climate, forest, and ocean governance. He is also working on research projects on governance synergies, global goals, the architecture of political systems, and the prospects for planetary-wide cooperation. Simon is a member of the ESG task forces on ocean governance, biodiversity governance, climate governance, and knowledge cumulation.
