About

I am Bamgboye Taiwo Temitope, a doctoral researcher at the Water, Energy and Environmental Engineering Research Unit, University of Oulu, Finland. My research focuses on the Water–Energy–Food (WEF) nexus, transboundary river basins, climate change, and urbanization, with a special interest in developing system dynamics models (SDM) to understand resource interlinkages and inform sustainable management strategies. I am part of the TU-NEXUS project. The project aims improve tools and knowledgebase for a Climate Land Energy Water (CLEW) analysis that better outline trade-offs, opportunities, conflicts and synergies across the systems.

I have presented my work at international conferences such as the European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly, engaging with experts on sustainability, governance, and resource systems. My publications include systematic review on climate change, urbanization, and the WEF nexus in the Global South, Conceptual maps as a tool for evaluation in complexity science and co-authored papers on nexus-informed approaches in Central Asia.

Beyond research, I actively contribute to academic networks, serve as a peer reviewer for the International Journal of Water Resources Development, application reader for the Mandela Washington Fellowship and the Finnish University Partnership for International Development. My broader goal is to advance integrated and holistic approaches that support water security, climate resilience, and sustainable development.
