About

My research addresses critical material sustainability in energy transitions, asking how we can deploy renewable energy systems without creating new environmental problems. Using multi-objective optimization and life cycle assessment, I develop frameworks that make trade-offs visible rather than hidden – helping policymakers understand the full environmental implications of energy decisions.

Through my PhD at City University of London, I have created tools that achieved a reduction in net environmental burdens by systematically addressing ‘burden shifting’ across 18 environmental impact categories. My work bridges technical analysis with governance challenges, translating complex optimization algorithms into decision-support frameworks for sustainable transitions.
