I’m a postdoctoral researcher at the Institut Terre & Environnement de Strasbourg (ITES UMR 7063 CNRS), University of Strasbourg, France. I study water as a complex social-ecological system. Currently, my postdoc project investigates transitions in water governance through the integration of nonhuman entities into decision-making frameworks, aiming to develop more inclusive and ecologically grounded governance models in Europe. I examine Rights of Nature (RoN) initiatives in France as pioneering experiments, explore how these bottom-up innovations challenge anthropocentric water management traditions, and compare them with international cases (e.g., New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Colombia) to understand how RoN-inspired approaches travel across different legal/cultural contexts.
My professional experience extends across Europe (Italy, Belgium, France, the Netherlands) and Asia (Japan, Hong Kong, China). Situated at the science–policy–society interface, my research employs participatory methodologies, e.g., public surveys, workshops, and serious games, to facilitate knowledge co-production with diverse local and societal stakeholders.
