The Earth System Governance (ESG) Project joined the Swedish Centre for Impacts of Climate Extremes (CLIMES) as a co‑organizer of the conference Climate Impacts in a Changing World, held in Uppsala, Sweden, from 9–11 March 2026.
The conference brought together researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to foster interdisciplinary dialogue on the wide‑ranging impacts of climate extremes on both human and natural systems. Discussions focused on advancing integrated approaches to addressing climate impacts and contributing to the development of a just and sustainable future.
The call for abstracts was open from 29 September to 2 November 2025. Abstract submissions exploring climate extremes were invited from a broad range of disciplinary perspectives and interdisciplinary approaches, including the natural sciences, medical and health sciences, social and economic sciences, and engineering.
