Research Fellows are early to mid-level career scientists who seek to link their own research projects with the broader themes and questions of earth system governance. Senior Research Fellows are senior scientists and faculty members who seek to link their own research projects with the broader themes and questions of earth system governance.
Through a bottom-up, dynamic, and active network, senior research fellows and research fellows collaborate on research, debate ideas and disseminate information on relevant events and opportunities in the field.
How to apply
To become an Earth System Governance Research Fellow or Senior Research Fellow, please submit a CV, list of publications and a short motivation letter that expresses how your work relates to the Earth System Governance Science Plan (not more than 1 page), to ipo@earthsystemgovernance.org. In the application, please specify what research lenses and contextual conditions of the Science Plan your research is most closely associated with and whether you want to be considered a senior fellow. The Earth System Governance Scientific Steering Committee, in consultation with the Regional Research Fellow Coordinators, will evaluate the applications, and the network coordinator will contact the applicants upon acceptance.
