About

Jacob is a postdoctoral researcher working on the politics and governance of plastics, in particular on questions of decarbonisation. His overarching research interest is in the interaction between innovation, governance, and sustainability. He employs a wide variety of theories and methods in his research – especially interpretive approaches (interviews, content analysis) and social network analysis. He has previously conducted case studies on hydraulic fracturing, electronic cigarettes, and brain drain in the European Union. Jacob received his PhD in Politics and International Studies from the University of Warwick and L’Université libre de Bruxelles in 2017.
