Petra van der Kooij is as project intern working at the Earth System Governance International Project Office. She also provides support to the Earth System Governance Task Force on Conceptual Foundations.
Petra is currently doing her Master in Human Ecology: Culture, Power and Sustainability at Lunds University. She did her Bachelor degree in Interdisciplinary Science at the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands for which she wrote her thesis about the link between the EU biofuel policy and upcoming palm oil plantations in Indonesia and did a research on Integrated Water Resource Management in the Tana Delta, Kenya. Her research interest lies within social sciences and philosophy to come from these fields to a better understanding of cultural perceptions, environmental problems and socio-ecological justice.
