21 Issues for the 21st Century

UNEP has released the final report of the UN Foresight Initiative that identified the 21 most urgent environmental issues to be addressed by the UN system and related programmes and agencies. One of the findings is that “Aligning Governance to the Challenges of Global Sustainability” has been ranked as the most urgent of the 21 items.

The Earth System Governance Project welcomes this report and its findings, and will continue its numerous global research initiatives to advance understanding of global sustainability governance.
