About

Helen is a project intern working at the Earth System Governance International Project Office. Her focus is on communications, research and administrative support in the field of climate change governance.

After earning her bachelor’s degree in Integrated Social Sciences with an emphasis on International Relations at the Technische Universität Braunschweig, Germany, Helen is now finishing her master’s degree in Political Science at the Freie Universität Berlin. While gaining a strong interdisciplinary academic background doing courses in sociology, political science, economics, law and psychology during her bachelor’s, Helen has always upheld a strong focus on subjects of International Relations. As to that, she also gained practical experience as a student assistant at the Department of International Relations and Comparative Government in Braunschweig.

Since climate change, its consequences and courses of action are becoming more and more a comprehensive subject not only for International Relations but also more broadly in all social sciences, Helen developed a specific interest in this field of study. Her further research interests include international norm dynamics, global governance and obligations in international law.
