Dr. Jones Lewis Arthur had his Bachelor of Education (Social Studies), Master of Arts (Environmental Management and Policy) from the University of Cape Coast-Ghana, Post Graduate Diploma (innovation in Finance) from Erasmus University Rotterdam, and Ph.D. in Geography from University of Victoria, Canada. His work experience includes teaching and conducting academic research at both undergraduate and graduate levels of education. His research focuses on livelihoods, and dam impacts.
Dr. Arthur currently Associate Professor and teaches research and ICT in Sunyani Technical University, Valley View University (Techiman Campus) and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (institute of Distance Learning). He has over the years taught (Energy and Sustainable Management, research methods, ICT) and supervised student researches at both the undergraduate and graduate schools. Dr. Arthur has acquired a stream of experience in both academic and administration positions.
Currently, he is the Director for International Relations and Institutional Linkage, and a member of university committees including the Executive Committee and Academic Board. He has Chaired and also served as a member of a number of committees such as committee to develop intellectual property, guidelines for peer review, as well as committees that developed a number of curricula for the Department of Secretaryship and management studies (SMS). He chaired various committees to develop four (4) Bachelor of Degree programmes for the Department of SMS. Dr. Arthur continues to serve and offer his services in various capacities to support the growth and development of the Sunyani Technical University. He continues to be an invaluable asset to the University community.
