Marcia Grisotti is full professor in the Sociology and Political Science Department at Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), Brazil. Marcia served as the head of the Department of Sociology and Political Science at UFSC from 2009 to 2013, coordinated the Graduate Program in Sociology and Political Science from 2016 to 2018, and acted as the sub-coordinator of the Interdisciplinary Doctorate at UFSC. Additionally, she served as the scientific coordinator of the Erasmus Fellow Mundus Program from 201 to 2017. Currently, she is the coordinator of the research group: Human ecology and sociology of health at UFSC, coordinator of the Research Committee in Sociology of Health of the Brazilian Society of Sociology and a member of the National Institute of Science and Technology Brasil Plural. Her research focuses on the sociology of health and environment in different regions of Brazil.
