Michelle is a Vice Chancellors Post-Doctoral Research Fellow with the Australian National Centre for Ocean Resources and Security (ANCORS). Her research builds on a decade of experience in marine conservation public policy and planning within the Australian government system. Her research interests focus on the human dimensions of marine conservation and resource management, including marine protected areas, and commercial and recreational fisheries. Her current research is focused on the role of the private sector in oceans governance, particularly in relation to the emerging concept of a ‘Blue Economy’.
