About the Research Centre

The Department of Political Science at Stockholm University include research areas such as global environmental politics, EU and multilateral diplomacy for sustainable development and climate policy, democratic legitimacy and effectiveness global environmental governance, geopolitics of sustainable development, comparative environmental policy and natural resource management. The Department houses the research group on Environmental Politics, Policy and Learning (EPPLE). EPPLE is part of Stockholm University initiative Environmental Research in the Human Science Area including faculties of law, humanities and social science. The Bolin Centre for Climate Change and the Stockholm Resilience Centre are other key research centres. Stockholm University is a world leading university that ranks 33 in the interdisciplinary field of environmental science/studies across the human and natural science academic areas.
